Right above a village Beckov is the vast ruin of the past massive border guard castle which is already mentioned in Anonymo’s chronicle from the turn of the 12th and 13th century. Each of its owners (Matúš Čák Trenčiansky, Ctiborovci, Bánfiovci) made significant structural adjustments of which remnants (also due to the fire of 1729) we can admire only in preserved ruins. From the height of castle cliff the visitor can plan the tour route of other notabilities of Beckov: late renaissance mansion, Franciscan Church and Monastery, Lutheran Church and Monastery, Ambra mansion (museum), Jewish cemetery
